And wondered if there would be any interest in buying the inner, outer or both 2 piece wheels if I snatched them up to save them from the crusher.

There were a few 12 bolts and also 8 bolts. I snatched five 24 bolt wheels for myself along with a set of 12 bolts.

I want to see if there would be interest from others so I can go back to save everything I could find. Prices would be cheaper than buying from elsewhere because there wouldn't be any o-rings, nuts and some were missing the studs. The lack of these hardwares would make them cheaper to buy and then you purchase brand new hardware parts as it would have required them anyways.

Anyone need an outer, inner wheel, parts, etc? If you have a bent wheel or outer ring, this would be the chance to replace yours for a good stock piece.

I also found a yard not far from this one that is selling H1 wheels and tires combos of the 37" Goodyears and 12 bolts with run flats. I was thinking of buying a few sets and breaking them down to sell them separate as not everyone wants or needs one or the other part.

What say you? Should I rescue the H1's or not?

I'd think it all depends on how cheap it is...
But i just shot off a text to a buddy of mine who i know has a bent 8 bolt. See what all he needs to fix and if he's interested.

What part of central Kansas? I have a buddy that needs a set, and he is in Lincoln.

I could probably do $30 for an 8 bolt wheel. It will be the outer ring and the inner wheel. No nuts or o-rings though. 12 bolt wheels will be $50 each. I can do separate outer rings and inner wheels, too.

Lincoln, Kansas? Thats 25 miles away from me and I know a few people up there.

He's a little north of Wichita
Thats about 110 miles south of me.

Ok, I can ship no problem.

Gotta be careful with this forum as its not a For Sale forum. Notice I quoted "I could probably do $30......" which means the price isn't set in stone for this forum. We can take it to PM's but I can say that nothing will change in the private messages. :waytogo:

Ok guys, I got a few PM's and will reply here instead.

I will be making the run to the yard on Wed. after work to save as much as I can. I took my Jimmy last week and only fitted 9 rims in the back. This time I'm taking the 3/4 ton and will fill it up with all the good stuff. I'm hoping to get at least 1 or 2 sets of 37's on H1's, too.

Check back on Wed. or Thurs. for pics of everything I bring back home. We can go from there with what everyone is requesting.

Update 8-29-12:

Went to the scrap yard to get the rest of the wheels, parts, rings, etc., and found NOTHING!

Everything had been picked up and loaded onto the rail cars and shipped off to wherever. The ground was picked clean and now has rocks and broken concrete all over the area.

I was pissed. More so I was upset with myself for not getting everything the first time when I was there last week. I'm also pissed at myself for not going back the next day.

As they say, "you snooze, you lose." Evidently I lost today. Sorry guys. :frown1:

Hey, its the thought that counts, you certainly tried to give everyone the hookup. certainly beats buying all that stuff and having no one be interested. :waytogo:
