found the wheels I’m after, though I know some will poo poo the 16.5 but they will work with the tires I have. And potential save me a ton of money, getting the wheels used and swaping over my existing tires.

Anyone with a more discerning eye see any imperfections that can’t be fixed?

I noticed no flat spots, dings etc in person.

mix-n-match of rims . look at the lug nut part of the centers .

make sure there all 16.5" and 8x6.5 pattern . also check the backspace on them all and the rim width of them all .

It changed. I want the mags... but I’d have to get new tires. This is technically my second choice.

When I went to get the cross member and skid plate I saw the one wheel. I had to leave, but I told him I’m after those wheels, if he can find the other 3 let me know.

So I’d have to drive back out unless he can get me that info

What is the thing sticking out? A hub cover, is it removable

if backspace is the same or 2 and 2 then it will be o.k. just make sure there on the same axle .

if the width is all the same then o.k. no problems .

its just my o.c.d that would drive me nuts a bit on the design of the lug nut area knowing there different .

in the end its all up to you but good you asked before jumping in on them .

I have the 8.25 wide saved.
He wants $200 for all for. Which is far more affordable than new, obviously...
But they are some rag tag collection I’d rather save and get them new.

He knows nobody wants 16.5 so he was pretty keen to sell them to me.

He measured all.. matching set size wise. The guy is honest damn near every Squarebody owner in the valley (AZ) gets parts from him. I have been for 4 years now.

I mean...$200 yeah, no???

wheels is all I want , rotted tires will go to the tire shop.

Yeah I guess I’ll have to get rid of the tires but I’m sure the tire shop can do that, at my expense. Which is fine.
Maybe I can work that out with him.

My .02 is thats $100 worth of wheels max. I paid $100 for a set of 17” h2 wheels(peeling clearcoat and pitted but mechanically fine)...and $300 for a nice set of h2’s

Can these be cleaned up? Make’em shine again?
I can offer less. Like I said nobody wants 16.5 wheels. They either go 16 or bigger... so we’ll see

Those wheels would go for about 50-75 bucks around here.
No one wants them.
Then you have to get rid of the old tires and clean them and than they don't match. I would offer 50.

Its not like that at all... He’s sells Squarebody Chevy parts out here in AZ... I’ve been buying parts from him for 3-4 years.

I saw the tires and inquired, then posted to get feedback if they’re worth the hassle.... I gather they are not

16.5” rims like that aren’t worth a nickel over $100 in my opinion. Even at $100 that’s retail pricing.

I’m gathering it’s best to let these go and just save up for 17’ wheels and new tires?

Why is everyone to against 16.5 wheels? What am I missing here?
