/forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif, I've heard a couple of guys talk about one around here a few months ago. doubt it's the same one, glad you took a pic, wanted to see one
doesn't have to be the "same one" it was an optional thing back in the day. Sort of an afterfactory/factory option. Heard of them being used mainly in out of the way places where capabilty may be required.
when my great-grandmother passed away in '88 the funeral home had an 86ish black Burb, rolling something along the lines of 33" mud terrains. was a sweet looking setup for sure.
One set of my grandparents took their journey to the cemetary in a Sub. The Sub itself isn't like that, it's a regular one that has the back end setup to carry the caskets.

Saw this out today, went home, grabbed the camera and snapped a pic.

That is really what they need out here in the winter. My cemeteries are all on hills and in the winter we usually have to carry the damn casket up the hill unless we are lucky and there is no service so we can just put it in the vault buggy.
I waouls want the burb hearse that I ride in lifted with 35s though.
I've never seen the 73-91 body style hearse around here but there's a bunch of the 92+ body hearses going around. The funeral homes use them to carry the bodies from the morgue(sp?) so they don't put miles on the caddies...

What's the lightbar-lookin' thing on that rig? Looks more like a taxi's IN-USE light or something.

Safety feature I guess. Let's folks know a funeral procession is on the way?

Jeez, next you know all the riceboys will be putting that on their Hondas -- neon lights and strobes, pretty blingy, you know. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
