Do you have any shots of the rust?

Also, any details on the custom floor? And that is a '76/'77 front end, correct?

Thanks,
Jason

78 front actually. The front fenders have the usual rust at the bottom in front of the doors. And the left front is starting to get some holes above the wheel lip.
But for the right price i will include 2 really nice white front fenders.
This truck is fro oregon. So rust is not a major issue. The rockers are rock solid and the rear quarters are in perfect shape.
the rf floor was rusted from a leaking windshield. so i put a new floor in, and added more to the trans tunnel on the passenger's side to fit the triple sticks. and under the passenger's seat i raised the floor to make room for the 205. it's clocked up 2" and i wanted the belly to be flat.

I also forgot to mention the 3 optimas in custom trays, 120 amp isolator, 90 amp alt. And some extra parts.

You have some adds up on CL too huh? I think i have seen them. Thought about buying your white fenders.

still thinking about just parting it out. keeping the doubler, axles and steering for my new 3+3.
just got some 38" michelins for the 3+3 today. so i'm kinda in a hurry to get it lifted. and road ready.

yeah, between my brother and i , there are prob. 30 ads on craigs for various crap i want out of the garage.
sheetmetal,3 sets of 1 tons, bunch of other drivetrain stuff.

If you really part it out, I would still be interested in the tub. However, I would prefer to have some axles under it for transport purposes.

In it's current state, would you trust it on a cross country drive (Oregon to Michigan)? I don't care about how comfortable it will be, just if it will make it reliably.

I dont think i would drive it that far. even with 42s it still spins 2800rpm at 60mph. i dont think the engine would go for that all day that far. but with radials it does drive nice. bias ply tires is the only reason it wouldnt drive well.
the rear suspension is pretty soft, actually rides descent.
im probably parting it out anyways. i have some 3/4 ton axles with 4.10s i could put under it with some stock springs and hangers. or if you want the shackle flip i could include that with the stock springs. or maybe i could find some 1/2 tons locally for cheap. see them for like $200 a pair on craigs.
do you already have a k5 and lookin for a body, or looking for a complete truck?

I'm looking for a complete truck, but I have my own plans for the drivetrain. I would ideally like a roller, with good sheetmetal (as yours appears to be) and 3/4 or 1 ton axles, I haven't decided. I'm not afraid of mechanical work, I just want to avoid a bunch of metal work to have a decent truck.

If I can't find one with the axles/suspension I want, it is no big deal for me to have to track those down and swap them. That I can handle.

thanks,
Jason

Well. how much do you wanna spend?
would you want the shackle flip? it wont fit my 3+3
i'd be happy to put the 3/4 tons under it with stock springs w/the flip
i would like to keep the bumper and the steering wheel.
would you want the apc seats? i dont have the orig. driver's seat, but i do have both apc seats. just havent made a frame for the pass. side.
i would like to see this truck go to a good cause, not the scrap guy.

tail gate and the nicest 70s chevy hood ive ever seen. no bend or rust. has stiffeners and newer hinges. shuts nice

i forgot to take pics under the hood. i can if you want. im leaving the battery trays i made that wont ever break, and will fit 3 optimas.
also all the wiring is in good shape. all the lights, wipers, heater, most guages work. the clock doesnt work, and i caught the fuel guage wire with the winch cable and ripped it apart. but the sender and guage actually work.

maybe. i would really like to sell the whole thing at once. what parts are you looking for? i have other stuff from a different truck that isnt listed right now

looking for the door panels, mainly the trim and inserts also cheyenne emblems and the k5 emblems if you have any. Only reason i ask for parts is because its easier to ship then the whole truck.

free body. complete tub w/doors, fenders, dash, hvac, column. no seats, panels, dash pad.

must take whole thing, must be using it for a build. not just part it or scrap it. its straight and almost rust free
