Although judging by how clean the truck is (especially underneath) I'd say he sold it to buy a new street truck. The PO put nice stuff on it but you can tell it's never left the street.
haha well after all of that it was something simple... the ignition switch in the column is worn out so if you start it and it gets bumped it'll fall out of place and kill the truck. 
So I guess we get to tear the steering column apart...

They're not out further than the sidewall but it's close. It's just a look around here I guess, I've never really thought anything of it.
