ya ya its not a factory chevy but the best parts of a chevy are now in it. only thing left jeep are 3/4 of the orignal frame and the body. no good rust free k5's up here in the rust belt. so he likes jeeps and wanted strength so we are building the good stuff in to the jeep. and the frame and tub are from florida 2 years ago. real clean and rust free. just needed a front fender/hood/winshield frame from acident up here.

95 350tbi from van
sm465/205 from k10
dana 44 and corp 12 bolt 3.73 from k10
lots of fab parts from diy4x and ruffstuff thanks guys
rough county 4" jeep springs he had from old rotted out jeep
38x12.50x15 tsl on 8" rallys for now
2" body lift
shackle reversle in the front and room to grow in the front. with kirt's ( diy4x ) 4 hole hangers axle is 1 hole up from stock now.

yet to get pass side knuckle milled & taped and cross over arm then finish up the rest of the welding and he will finish the body work.

but for a 19 year old good kid he will have a hell of a jeep. and the crew at the shop are making sure it WILL be vary safe.

he also wants a custom plate for it. ( wanabk5 ) what do you guys think?

last 2 pics is the good old 44 gal rubber made trash can test.

and first pic the axle is stock location. we have aftermarket perches on axle. and will be going back 1" from stock. we looked at it and it was much better . but for now we kept is stock as we didnt have the top plates yet at mock up time.

i really like it....wish i had a rig that nice when i was 19! keep us up to date w/some pics of it as the build is finished up...

I wish i had a jeep when i was 19.....A friend of mine built a jeep with the same idea in mind but he used a van 14b and had a 3/4 ton 10 bolt narrowed to match the width of the front.....

jeep guys love the 14ff cab&chassie rears narrow bolt under nice. prob not a van width 1 tho.

its an 86 chev van rear and an 84 ten bolt narrowed.....he said it just about fit right in..i dont know how much was half azzed tho... anyway cool build, we need more

hep she is not a toss together jeep chevy build. all the right parts and time. i dont build ? items its not worth it in the end.

if i build it it will be beefy and safe and as correct as possible. and him being 19 you know he is going to be totaly stupid at some point. i know this as i have heard and seen some of his totaly crazy things he has done.

thats good that you are taking the time to do it right, i know for sure some of the jeep i had shown a pic of was a throw togeather...its always broke...
