Well,mine were a piece of

,not cake!...maybe the fact I'm half blind and crippled with back & leg pain and am getting too old to be doing this kind of work has a lot to do with it..
For something that "appears" to be such a simple job,its far easier said than done...if I had to replace drum brakes and e-brake cables for a living,I think I'd rather just shoot myself...and I'm not lying,I have had engines pulled and sitting on the ground in 90 minutes after parking the truck, more than once..
Lying under this rotbox getting rust and crud in my eyes for 3+ days was pure torture..feels like my ribs and thigh bones are coming through the skin now--I'm actually bruised from crawling around and lying under the truck so long, and I used a closed cell foam camping pad to lie on..cant turn my neck the muscles are so sore now...
All I can say is I'd better pass the inspection this time--if they nitpick the truck any further, and want more things replaced, I may just sell it,and the Suburban too--I've about had it trying to keep old rotted trucks "reliable" and inspected..
