Sweet, I am planning on buying their bumpers and sliders sometime this summer before my tellico trip.

When did you order said bumper? I thought Daniel quit making anything besides sliders several years ago.

He doesn't make bumpers anymore but I talked him into selling me this one that was on his blazer.

I will get some pics of the underside tomorrow sometime for you.

I've always liked his front bumpers, if you dont mind, could you snap some pics of the winch mount, and some close ups where the bumper mounts to the frame? I appreciate it.

I am going to have to get a winch mount fabd up but I can take shots of the frame mount

It mounted straight up to the factory holes which was awesome. I had to persuade it a little with a BFH because I hit my buddy and it kinda pushed in the frame on the pass side so it didnt want to line up perfect but it still worked great!

Hey, your supposed to paint the sliders before the install. :D

BTW, the large flat washers and the bolt head should be installed on the body mount side. The lock washers and nuts should be on the slider mounting bracket side. That's how I've always installed them anyway...

I would have sent you the winch mount, but when I pulled it off, I found that it was tweaked a little, OK a lot. I used 1/2" plate with a bend at the lower portion for extra support.

How did it bend? I'll tell you.

I knew I shouldn't have done it, but my neighbor was needing some help removing a very large tree from his yard. So being the good neighbor I am, I said I would just yank it out with the K5. That was my first mistake.

I attached a strap about 10' off the ground to the tree. I then pulled the rope out of my Ramsey Patriot 12K winch and thought the amount of leverage that high in the tree, surely will pull it over. WRONG!!! I started the winch and began to pull the tree over. The tree started making some terrible noises but was coming over. Then it stop bending and the K5 started moving. My next thought was to dead head the K5. That means, using a strap on the rear bumper, tie it to a bigger tree. That was my next MISTAKE.

I started the winch up again, and the tree started coming over and out of the ground. Then I heard a chilling noise coming from the K5, but the winch never slowed. Then the tree, roots and all slowly ripped out of the ground.

Come to find out, after the removal of the bumper, the mount had a good bend in it. I never thought the formed 1/2" plate would ever bend, but I was wrong. I guarantee that Ramsey 12K pulled more in the range of 15-18K before the tree (that was about 18" in diameter) decided to give it up...

Luckily the bumper kept the frame from being ripped to shreds. And the bumper and my frame came out without a scratch.
