Front End - \"Toe-In\", \"Toe-Out\" or set for \"Zero Toe\"???

Hi guys....

Just looking for a quick answer....I measured my toe settings on the front, and I'm currently about 1/4" Toe-OUT.

I am tempted to set it to ZERO-toe, but I thought I'd ask someone here first.

Re: Front End -

Think that "toe out" might be the cause of some weird "pulling" on the street???

make it 1/16 toe in and it will run straight and not eat tires.

When in doubt gas it

Re: Front End -

It sure wouldn't help.

I've got 1/4" toe-in with the 36" TSLs, and get the wobble of death once and awhile... I might back that off to 1/8" or even 1/16". Just my .02

<font color=blue>Set it 1/8-1/4" in, as you go down the road, the tires will actually "toe out" a few degrees

Where exactly do you measure to figure out this 1/4" toe in? I'm about to put my front axle together with the crossover steering and need advice on how to get the toe set correctly. Thanks in advance.

Use a tape measure from the leading edges of the tires, and then measure the trailing edge of the tires. The trailing edge should measure abuot 1/4" wider... Hope that helps...

Re: Front End - \"Toe-In\", \"Toe-Out\" or set for \"Zero Toe\"???

make a line around the circumference in the centre of each tire,
measure the distance side to side, as stated above, at the frontmost and rearmost point of the tire
subtract the 2 to get toe number

as too what to aim for,
with wide swampers and city or off road driving i would toe out, better turning radius and turn in

highway, you just shouldnt be there with swamps
