Ok, so through my searching, no one makes a front hit for our trucks

I'm looking for something that comes out the stock bumper license plate center and allows me to move boats around, and use a receiver mount bike rack.

Anyone have one for this setup?

any of the fab shops want to make a bolt in one for a 91?

Please help!

Ok, I lied. Looks like the warn 25855 fits. Comments? Better suggestions?

I had a friend who loved to fish. Every car or truck she or her husband owned had one just for launching a boat. So I know where you are coming from. But all those were one-offs.

Have you tried looking for winch mounts?

There are a couple of receiver type winch mounts, and I think they sell kits for both front and back.
Maybe Mile Marker......

The Warn one comes out just under the factory bumper, not through it.

It's the only off-the-shelf solution available to the best of my knowledge and is only for the 81-87 (91) fronts.

That said, it's not difficult to cut and weld another one to fit inside the frame rails to your satisfaction.

Bummer that it comes out low, but really, it's no lower than the factory tow hooks. For my use, I'd love it to be behind the license plate, but it should work below too

Built one for my 97, couple hours and some scrap later and I got me a nice receiver that pops out of the bumper.

My votes for homebrew :waytogo:

My guess is it only has to come up to the mid section of the tube. Would love to make my own, but really, it won't happen any time soon. Going to try out the warm. Thanks guys!

if I recall the warn is remove bumper and brackets.

then slide it in the frame and reinstall brackets .

then reinstall bumper.

Yeah, the only complication on mine was that I was putting it on the CUCV with those shackle mount tubes. On a normal truck it would be easy peasy. Might have to torch off or at least panther piss the bumper bolts, as they get rusted in place easy. Worst case you can grind the heads off and bang them through from the outside, easy enough to get to.

And wait, didn't we do this before?
