Front receiver hitch.

Warn showed up last night.

God i love Amazon Prime.

Installing a new intake, and putting this hitch on over the weekend.

Will let you guys know how it works out!

Installed.

Install was super easy. Thank you California for my rust free bumper bolts.

The bolts supplied weren't long enough to install with the front tow hooks, so i had to grab longer ones.

Other than that, i added 2 thick u bolt washers as spacers. Besides that, it dropped right in.

Totally worth the $185 vs trying to fab one.

It comes with 1/4" thick washers for each bolt hole, on each side. I added one additional spring washer to the upper bolt holes. Other than that, super easy.

Please excuse the duct tape holding my washers in place :)

Now, to build a legit front hitch step for working on the motor.

Have always wanted to stop slipping off the bumper.

The only advantage of fabbing one would have been to have it behind the license plate.

Yep. I could have pulled it off, but really don't have the right tools to do a nice job.

Looking back though, it would have been fairly easy.

Surprised that its only really 2 bolts each side holding it, but then again, a front hitch won't see the same stress as a rear one. Good thing to remember if you go to use it as an extraction point.

Twice the bolts of a stock tow hook though, as the tow hooks are mounted to either side of the hitch.

I actually like this below the bumper for the purpose of putting one of those cargo racks in there as a platform to work under the hood.

A home made one, yes. The walmart variety? No way :haha:

Not doing ot build something that deep.

But a nice 6" or 8" step across the front of the bumper, with grip tape on it? Hell yes.

Definitely have to have one that cinches tight to the hitch, like the nice bike racks do now, rather than just a pin.

I'm sure you did, but, just to be safe, I'll ask........

Grade 8 bolts, right?

Like you say, its not going to see the load of a rear mount, until the day it does. First time you are bogged so deep you have to climb out the window because the door is under the mud.....(Been there, climbed in and out several times to work the winch), that is when you will see that hitch and think how nice it is to have something to attach the strap to...

Yes sir. Grade 8. Hate buying them when a tractor supply isn't around, $2 ea, and of course had to buy 2 different sizes to be sure i wasn't returning to the store.

The only thing that makes me think 4 bolts would hold a tow point is that the front factory hooks are only on 2.....

Don't run a t2 rack on this front hitch. Especially at night , on a 2 lane

Forward visibility is obstructed some, but the deal breaker is obstructing your headlights.
