I want to replace the factory seats with dated buckets or possibly a bench seat. I know some of you have done this in the past. I found a nice pair of buckets on ebay. But I am wonderiing if they will fit or not. It says they have brackets for all different kinds of vehicles.

I also have been thinking about putting a bench seat in it. Possibly one out of a suburban. Would a seat like that bolt right up to the stock holes? Would a bench seat worl well in a K5?

I would like to see pictures of what you guys have done to your interiors.

Pretty sure the mounting from suburban bench to blazer buckets is different. been a long time since I looked at a factory seat.

Most of your after market seats are going to require some amount of fabrication.

well mine are in a truck till i get my new blazer home tromorrow and i will not be swapping my mount over because i dont like how it came out and they wont work in a blazer, the floor is different.

i used the original seat brackets and bolted some flat stock across them and built 2 leg supports in the middle of the flat stock. in the blazer i will build a roll cage and the seats and the 5 point harnesses will be attached to the cage.

i prefer aftermarket bucket seats, mine come up on the sides and they really help hold you in place while offroad.

mine are factory buckets, but i agree about the offroad part. i don't shift in them at all and they have really thick padding for the bumps and stuff. not sure if all stock seats are that good.

my dd has a bench, though, and it's kind of nice to have chicks ride in the middle seat...but then, they start thinking they can play with my stereo. man, are they wrong!

:haha:That reminded me of the movie Rush Hour. "Don't ever touch a black man's radio"!

same situation...i don't have a stingray vette (bummer), i'm white (that's cool), and my chick wasn't jackie chan (thankfully). but, she liked country music so that didn't last long at all. she tried to pollute my speakers with it. i had to them a thorough flush with heavy metal :saweet: and classic rock, followed by a techno cleansing for the subwoofer.
