I traded a my 4 inch lift for a 2.5 inch lift..
Now the front springs are Rough Country w/o any bushings.
My question:
Would I be able to remove the urethane spring bushings off my old springs (w/o) damaging them.. and reuse them on the new 2.5 inch springs..
Has anyone been able to successfully remove the urethane bushings and re-use them?
Thanks..
I tried to find the new bushings at 4wpw.. but they are special order..

removed mine when i replaced the shackles i had no problems at all. they just pressed right out with a screwdriver. i havent reused them but i dont see why i couldnt?

If they are the same openings and you get them out without damaging them, then yes you can reuse them. Just remember that the spring company uses a different size hole for the bushings.

Got them out.. and they are undamaged..
Fit perfect in the Rough Country springs.. almost done. .
Thanks for the replies.. Thought I was going to have to order the bushings and wait forever to lower my 89..

I drive the truck everyday.. with 4 inches.. I hate the way the thing rides for a daily driver.. So I figured a 2.5 inch lift w/ 33's will be better for all the driving I do ..
So... guess you can say I'm trying to tame the truck..
Sounds funny yes.. but I'm tired of fighting the truck in heavy winds, bumpy roads and having the drivetrain all exposed making the truck as aerodynamic as a Brick..
So there..
The 83 is still jacked up hehehe.
