So I broke a leafspring the other day and am swapping those out... I decided since I made some longer shackles a while back I might as well swap those in too... this requires moving the rear hanger for the front springs forward... I cant find the thread that I orginally saw this in, I have searched and searched to no avail.... Help

always glad to help. :)

still need to finish that whole saga... my rig has been torn down to bare bones so I can build a truggy. The beast is staying leaf sprung tho, so I'll finish it eventually. :)

I liked the article, when you build the buggy you might think about using these, they work really well in the rear..

i am considering using flex joints in the front/fixed spring eye in the rear suspension. they are pretty cool. I'd have to get the main leaf custom made to fit the joint... and use custom hangers (Im sure Kert could whip up somethin!)... but I think it would be even better than having the joint on the other end of the spring. The forward end being fixed seems to me to be the main reason a spring pack would bind. In the rear bushings/shackles allow for some movement already..
