I need the part number (preferably auto zone) the front joint at the axle has inner snap rings and i can't find on one that doesn't have external snap rings

Are you referring to the axle shaft or the drive shaft? No drive shaft joint for the front yoke end has internal rings, at least from what I have seen.

Nope, they all use a Spicer 1310 from the factory, part number 1-0153 in Neapco. (external rings)

Well who knows what front driveshaft is in it. IT IS a 81 k10 pickup i have put a dodge dana 60 and a 14bltff. the front driveshaft does not have rings for the external snaprings i thought that they were just missing put then i found the inner snaprings. ok so all the "right" joints per napa the zone, advanced and post yer part # are all wrong the cross is to big to fit in the end of the shaft. And the caps are to big to fit in the holes. hmmm i found a joint laying around for my rear shaft and the cross and the caps are a perfect fit BUT external rings hmm hard tellin were the shaft came from BUT that what is in the truck and yes it is on an auto trick with a cv at the t-case

REAR driveshafts, yes.

ALL front pinion joints on our trucks are spicer 1310s, not saginaw.

Would this make a difference? The Dodge's used internal snap rings...

dude i pulled that qoute from the post yer part# that you posted. Ok so i need a 1310 with inner rings i guess . and the dodge dana 60 seems to match up fine i bought a new yoke for it from and randys ring and pinion

There is no such thing as a 1310 with inside clips unless it is a wheel joint.

Spicer style u joints use external locking clips.

I'd double check your driveshaft.

Dodge Dana 60 will use a 1310 or 1330, no matter what, your pinion joint should use external locking clips.

i think i've figured out how to make it work for a while till i upgrade to 1350 or so I will take a pic soon to show that this is what is on the truck it beats the holy hell out of me what it is
