Man we had a great time down at Kansas Rocks Park. It snowed up by where I live 4"-5" but it only maybe had 1/2" down there. So we got up, drove for like 3 hours, unloaded my Blazer, the motor was missing a bit, plugwire came of cap. We met up with Shane and his buddy Mike which both had very nice K5s and also some other guys with a very nice CHEVY POWERED heep. So we headed out and drove some very light trails, and then some light trails, and then some trails. We stop and watched a Toyota trying to zoom up a hill but got stuck because everything was slick as snot. He got winched out and then we hit the trails again. While we were moving along I looked over and saw a massive water hole. I was kinda bored so I turned and went over to the hole. I started pulling in and my buddy freaked and said "GO GO GO" so I went and drown everything. motor was barely running, I was steaming for at least 10 minutes after that. It was fun! Then we headed back for lunch and after lunch we decided to run to town in my K5 to get some water and check my voicemails. About 7 miles out my K5 broke down. 20 minutes later we got it running. Made it back to the park and the first trail we hit we died trying to get over a small ledge over and over. So B tore apart my cap and coil and the thing was filled with mud and water. Go figure. We cleaned it up and had a great time. Then we did a couple of black diamond trails and I got to use my winch to get me up a very steep, mud covered rock hill, then we did a blue square trail that totally disagreed with my full size rig. I got stuck between a rock and a hard place (tree) and my window on passenger side of the topper was holding up my rig. I knew if I moved it would go and I knew it was my only option. So I broke one pane out and then I got stuck again so I had to break the other pane. Then we start going down a hill and I knew right away I had blown a u-joint in my front axle. So we headed back and had to winch up a very easy hill. Got her loaded and headed home. Here are some pics.

Nice. Too bad I just got ride of my Slider windows.

Looked like fun .

Well thanks but the top is going to be permently removed before to long. I am going to build a cage and hopefully a custom soft top that will be in the way of the topper.

top

can back is making tops again for the blazers . supposedly . slated for Q1 2009 production . but ther are like 1300 bucks

:laugh:Really:woot:. Please start a thread if you here anymore on that because eventhough that's kind of expensive I really liked the can backs personally

That sound great but I am considering going full convertable and then having the soft top made around the cage so I don't know if I would want to risk $1300 on a maybe it might fit. But thanks for the tip!

It was great meeting you and wheelin with you. You have a pretty nice rig. I was hopin we would get to wheel together after lunch so I could take you to some hard trails. Hope we get to wheel together again.

Here's my pics:

rockwells, rear steer, and 47s (I think)

Here's Mike (oakknight) and his rig

Did some damage here. Tire slipped off the rock. Bent up my shackle and my tranny crossmember and the frame where the crossmember bolts up...

Took us about an hour to get off of this between all the different things we tried. Ended up jacking up the side of the truck on the slider to get the crossmember over the rock and winched off of it the rest of the way.

Hey Shane, I was cursing myself for not going and getting a cb radio because I wanted to meet back up! I knew you guys would be hitting the good trails after lunch. Did Mike follow you down any of the good ones, like the one you got hung up on?

No, I guess he ended up loading up and heading home. We should definitely wheel together again sometime. How far is it a drive for you to Tuttle Creek? I think we are going to be heading up there in the future.
