Fuel capacity

Stock 31 gal tank.
TBI 350/TH350/4.56's/40's
Trail only

I usually get 3 day trips out of a full tank.

Last time I hand calcd my MPG I got almost 13 in my current configuration :eek1:

Swapped in a 31 gal to replace a beat up 16 gal. The original held about 13.5 gal.

383/TH350/205/4.56/35's
Road worthy, but built for the trail.
I hated having to carry gas for long off road trips and having to stop every 150 miles for gas. Definitely a vote for the bigger tank.

In the Blazer?

We both know the Crew Cab holds WAY more then 30 gallons :haha:

Yep, blazer. I have room to build a larger tank for the blazer. Could easy be overkill though. Just more weight to haul around.

Well, I think I'll try 30 gallons. Thanks guys.
i got a 41 gallon tank(according to the owners manual) but have never got more than 39 gallons in. i get about 575 freeway with no load, about 350 with my camper behind it. about 450 in town unloaded. got a lead foot, and ppl move when all they see is a big beast bearing down on them :)

That is one of the coolest things Ive ever seen. I am hoping to be moved to AK in the next year, and here I was building my K5 into a hunting truck. You sir, have given me a serious inadequacy complex.

I've always liked those moose buggies. Do a search for them on Google. They're awesome. Kind of remind me of a Florida mud truck with the tractor tires, but much more functional.
