Hey everyone!
I know this isn't a blazer but hoped someone could help me.
Been putting an 86 K10 togther and i removed the pass side gas tank and will just run the drivers side.
When i fired the truck up the other day,my gauge is reading past full. There isn't much fuel in the tank and it worked fine before.
Checked wires to tank, and they seem fine.
Anyone help me with what i'am missing here.
Thanks.

Open circuit somewhere. Switch could be bad, sender wire could be disconnected, the ground wire from the sender to the frame could be busted or grimy.

The wire you took off when you removed the tank is touching ground somewhere. GM sending units work on a resistance to ground and when the wire is touched to ground the guage will peg past full and stay there.
