What would you suggest for changing my 350 to fuel injection?

Should I just buy a kit? or should I try and find a donor vehicle / motor? what parts would I need from it?

Thanks

efi systems will be picky as to the cam specs. tbi the most i think. if you know your cam specs that will be 1/2 the battle for getting it to run right.

honestly, if you add up the costs fo swapping injection on to a older smallblock vs a newer motor swap the cost is pretty close to each other, i added the numbers up and ended going with a 5.3 from a newer truck becasue it was cheaper and was easy to get running right

i had a stock reman 350 with rv cam. tbi didnt like it to much for a stock chip burn. if i had known the cam specs a chip burn wouldnt be a problem. i just swaped out the 350 carbed for a tbi stock 350 i had in stock problem solved.

if you want to read a bit go look here. www.tbichips.com brian has good info .

and if i was to build a motor anymore and go efi i would do a ls based transplant like a 5.3 or a 6.0 and be done with it.
