Fuel line from pump to carb

Yep, those.
On my C10 I used the hardline and cut it down to about 4" long. Then I used one of these on the tube: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-2200077b
Then put a regular AN hose end on each end of the braided line. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-220690b
Then installed an AN adapter fitting on the carb. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/rus-640243 Your carb might require a different adapter.
Forgot about those. I used some of those in steel for a hydraboost return line set up I did awhile back.

Problem Im having is trying to not cut the braided line and use it’s fitting as in but get the proper fitting that go into the Carter and keep the -6an into the braided line.

I know you are looking for black. I couldn't find black on Summit will see what else I can find. but the 3 you posted are not what you need.

This fitting screws into the inverted flare fitting on many carburetors & fits instead of the 3/8" tube & tube nut w/ the 5/18-18 threads. This fitting seals on the 45 degree inverted flare, so there is no need for a crush washer or gasket.

I get confused on the straight vs NPT.
3/8 thread will go right into the Carter, but a 3/8 NPT only goes a thread or so as it’s angled and supposed to.
So if 3/8 straight goes into the Carter what size NPT would be needed to work?

no that is o ring, you want inverted flare 5/8-18 for stock sbc fuel pump

you can't mix the thread types you could adapt from 3/8 tube(5/8-18) to 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, NPT but only the correct type will thread in and seal.

yes you can rack up quite a tab with just a few fittings.
What will really make you mad is when you spend all that money on new fittings and a couple weeks later find at least one that you already had stashed somewhere you'd forgotten about.
Hahahah. I went through everything I have 3 times to make sure I don’t do that. I have what it takes to make fuel line if I cut the braided line. But I’d like to avoid that, and hopefully this fitting does that.
I haven't tried it with the nylon braided, but generally I get the best cut with a cut off wheel on the braided hoses.
