That's a challenge with the GM setup, then, unless the pump goes in the tank. The tank is about the lowest point on the truck. So the only option is to find an in-the-tank pump that plays well with PWM, and ditch the HydraMat. Which means probably selling the tank and buying a new one, based on what I'm told about how hard it is to get the Hydramat in the tank. A bigger tank would be nice, but I don't know if I have room for one under the truck. The one I currently have seems to take up all the space.
i sent the FiTech to them last month to get tested and possibly rebuilt, I haven’t heard anything back from them yet......
This FiTech was on my Stepson truck, his dad had it installed and the guy who did it just mounted the external pump on the frame and spliced into the fuel lines. To me all of it seemed very “half assed”. But it was working so whatever, I have my own projects to deal with lol. After a couple weeks that pump died,.....replaced it........week or two later, truck wouldn’t start again, can’t remember what that problem was, then last about another month or so and then wouldn’t start again. The guys said it was the computer for the FiTech.,.....keep in mind he’s 16 at the time and likes to hang with his friends and he was driving this truck all day everyday.
his dad got tired of the truck having issues so he had the guys slap a Holley back on it.
I feel like if they had done it right the first time no issues. New tank, with pump in tank,.....new fuel lines,.......it prob still be running the FiTech. Do it right the first time is what I live by.
so instead of that FiTech collecting dust last year or so.....I’m gonna use on my rig! Lol.
