Fuel pressure regulator adjustment help

Hey guys,
Still have flooding issues. Installed this regulator

I don't have a pressure gauge yet so I need to use trial and error for now...

Do I unscrew the regulator plunger for more pressure or less pressure? I need less pressure than the oem mechanical pump provides.

Loosening the regulator locknut and turning the adjustment screw clockwise increases the pressure.
Decrease pressure by turning the adjustment screw counter-clockwise.
