Fuel Prices in your area??

Well, demand is softening and inventories are building up. Crude prices have dropped $5-6 just this week with a slight return of 48 cents on Friday. Yet, prices remain.

Conversely when the crude prices have gone up a buck the prices have gone up the same day. They're homo's.

You have a pm Erik.

Today gas is at $.96/ L in Edmonton, Alberta. Works out to $3.63 US gallon I believe. One month ago, it was as high as $1.13/ L, works out to $4.35 US gallon.

... and your welcome for all the oil Canada gives you to, lol

You forgot the exchange rate.

1.13/L = 1.13 x 3.78 / 1.19 (exchange rate) = $3.589USD/US gallon.

I gotta ask, how does Edmonton Alta equate to the "West coast" ?

How Come??

I wonder why gas and diesel prices have skyrocketed, but motor oil can still be had for a buck a quart??...you'd think since its all made from crude,ALL the products derived from it would go up in price too?

Anyway, last time I passed the gas station nearby was thursday--it was 2.79 for 87 unleaded, and 2.85 for diesel.(I bet its more today, since my sister sent me a 40 dollar gas card from Citgo!and now I have to find a Citgo station  ).
I put in 5 bucks worth so I could make the 3 mile trip to the doctors office and get my prescription refilled--burned most of my 1.7 gallons sitting in a traffic jam, thanks to the state DPW --.

They have milked the cleanup job of that 2000 gallon tanker truck spill for 2 weeks now...shoul have taken only 2 days at most!--they have shut down the major interstate nearly every day,and no warning signs to warn drivers once they get on the road, they might sit there for hours! :angry1: :screwy:--bad enough 2000 gallons were wasted, and poured on the ground--now they make us waste more sitting in traffic jams...many people ran out of gas, adding to the gridlock!

(I wish I'd drove by when that tanker was leaking!--I'd have put my blue tarp in my truck bed and filled er up! --that would hold at least 300 gallons!..the truck driver tried using DUCT TAPE to seal the gash in the tank! :screwy: :1zhelp: --we can put men on the moon, but we cant invent something to stop gas from leaking?? )...

I think its accurate to say we are headed for a bad depression soon if this keeps it much longer..people here are desparate, and crime is rising --people just don't have the money!...

Makes me sick the way they rape us on fuel and heating oil..what really frosts my arse is when they jack the price up 20 cents, and the same gas is in their thaks they paid much less for..now they can raise in "Anticipation" of supply disruptions from "Rita" and "Katrina"...wish I could raise my pay for doing my job in "Anticipation" of higher fuel bills..(if I HAD a job, that is.. :doah: ).. :angry1: :angry1:

Just filled up on diesel at $3.25 and 91 was $3.15, 89 was $3.05 and 87 was $2.99. After looking at all the prices from around the country I can honestly say that this is the first time i've ever seen other states prices on par with Cali. Which is shocking since normally every other state is like a $1 cheaper per gal.

I thought it was about $1.34

At Flying J in willard its $1.30 and if you have a Flying J Rewards card it gets you 5 cents off a gallon.

Oh yeah, this is for Propane. :D

There was an article int he paper from central NC that my uncle sent me. A gas station owner (i believe of a mobil) refused to raise his prices. he said that he had so much gas in the ground that cost him so much money so thats what he should sell it for. well apparently mobil did like him being $.20-.25 cheaper than everyone else around and shut his pumps off. This kind of sh!t is ridiculous, and it happens everywhere. that right there sounds like price gouging, no?????? And if thats not bad enough our government gives these oil companys huge tax breaks... so not only do they f*ck us with gas price, they f*ck us with taxes too! dirty little bitches! (excuse the language but this is on thing that really pisses me off)

Jardine in Ogden it was $1.34 the last time I bought it but my problem is that I have a hundred gallon tank and hardly drive so I fill it up every three months or so.

well its even better here in wisconsin we have a minimum markup law. Not only do the franchises control pricing but the state does to.

I'm originally from the coast of BC.

Anchorage AK

Regular: $2.61
Diesel: $2.79

Our gas went up a little just after Katrina, but has stayed pretty stable.

They've actually started to drop now. I've seen places with $2.47 now. Compared to the $2.69 at the same place 2 weeks ago.
