Fuel pump problem...what else to try?

Right... that is not the ECM. What you have there controls the knock sensor. The ECM is under your dash, kind of up above the glove box. Its a silver box, and has MANY more wires /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Looks like this.

You need power to the ECM to get the fuel pump to run. You need switched power on pin A6, constant power on pin B1 and ground on D1. If you have this, you have power to the ECM. See this chart for more information.

Hope this helps man... sorry its so complicated.

I know that's not the ECM, it is the ESC /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif But I'm not much smarter than that! /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif
The stupid Chilton's manual said the ECM was under the instrument panel and then I got frustrated and quit messing with the blazer /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif
I was just hoping that wire and the ECM drew their power from the same source...And I'm retarded /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif

Okay so I need key on power to A6 (pink/black wire) and constant power to B1 (orange wire)----I don't have power to either of those wires /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I must be missing a ground or a fuse somewhere but I cannot find it for the life of me.

I've got power after the fusible link coming off the starter.
Where would the ECM B fuse be located?

In the fuse box /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

ECM B = Battery

ECM I = Ignition

From everything you say, it really looks like you have a power problem. Pull the fuse and stick a test light on the fuse holder for ECM B. I bet you get no light. If so, find out why you have no power there...

If you want to bypass the fuse box just to get the truck running (which I do not recommend,) give pin B1 a constant power line, with a 10 amp fuse, and give pin A6 a ignition switched power line, with a 10 amp fuse.

A6 = pink and black

B1 = Orange

Just strip a little bit of those wires, near the plug, and connect your new fused lines up and you should be running.

Thanks for the pic. I can only make out the letters on a few of the fuses...but there is still a good possibility it was right in front of me and I didn't see it /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
