Looking for a 10 bolt gov lock for the rear of my 82. Let me know what you guys got.

You "want" a ten bolt gov lock??... Ill sell ya mine if ya come get it :thumb: lol

That is a far drive for something that is a dime a dozen. :haha:This would be going in my c10 which at most will see 33 inch tall tires. It spends 95% of it's life roaming the streets so a G80 is enough.

Thanks for the offer though.

Wouldn't you need a 5 lug 2wd?

Personally if your rear end is in good shape I'd just throw a Lock Right in it. Better than the Grenade Lock.

I have a CUCV M1009 new, still in the crate, but not even close to being local....:doah:

Yes I do have a 5 lug, but is the gov lock itself inside the pumpkin different with 5 to 6 lugs? I'm looking just for the gov lock housing itself

Just this piece.

I can. Crazy busy at work right now but I will see what I can do.

You do realize you'll have to blow the diff apart and rebuild it, including resetting the gears, to install the Grenade Lock, right?

Thanks, I appreciate it.

Yes I do, and it's on the list. I'm replacing the pinion, bearing and the ring gear with 3.73's instead of my 3.08's

Gotcha. I'd still get a better locker or limited slip than the ticking time bomb of a Grenade Lock.

Yes I would agree, but I have had good luck with this rear until the bearing failed. So far the gears, pinion and bearings I'm into it nothing all freebies.

I would consider another traction aid but I like the street characteristics of a the Gov lock and they are cheap, but good chit isn't cheap.

I currently have 31's on the truck and they are bran spanking new practically. I have used and abused this truck and can't believe it's holding up as good as it does. I find it hard to believe you guys blowing these up on small tires.

Two personal friends lost theirs on street queen trucks on stockish sized tires. One ended up getting an entire junkyard 10 bolt because it was easier than fixing all the broke **** inside.

I'm looking just for the gov lock I already have the gears I want (3.73) Would anyone be willing to split the gears with the gov lock?
