What kind of mileage is everyone getting? I have an '84 with 350 V8 and edelbrock 4 barrel carb and am getting 11 mpg.

I just drove my rig to Memphis and back(roughly 500 miles each way)and I averaged it out to be about 9 miles per gallon. When I'm in the boonies I get more like 3 miles per gallon.Or is it 3 gallons per mile?I forget.:doah:

12 mpg on the K20, with 7.5' of snowblade hanging on the front. that cant be good for milage.

before i put my new intake and carb on i was gettin round 11-12. If my foots in it then its more like 6-7.

i get like 15 to 17 sometimes worse depends on how heavy my right foot decides to be that day ive got 35's 3.73 gears th 700R-4 woth the tbi fuel injection 350 its an 87

About 26 to 27 average. 1978 One ton Blazer. Wahahahahahah:haha:

Funny thing is - it's true

 Cummins 4BT

x2..

My 79 C10 with a 305 and Edelbrock 600 carb gets as much as 15 mpg,if I drive like an egg is between my foot and the gas pedal, and I'll die if the shell breaks...drive it like all the other boobs in town do,and I'd get less than ten I bet..it gets much less mpg when its below 30 degrees out..cold starts and short trips really kill gas mileage..

I have a hand choke, and use it only to get it started, and for a few hundred feet past my driveway..it helps a lot to stretch the fuel,an automatic choke that never fully opens in cold weather kills mileage!..having a working EFE valve(heat riser) and hot air to the air cleaner is important for good mileage too..

The 82 K20's 6.2 diesel gets between 16-22 mpg, even with the plow on it..:D the mileage doesn't seem to change empty or loaded down..gotta love da diesel... ..

I drive hammer down 80 mile round trip to work. Cruise at 70 to 75 on the interstate. Pedal to the floor from red lights. Well, truth be told, that's how you drive a Cummins. With the sb400 I got about 8mpg. Needless to say it did not see the road too much. I've had the 4bt in it for about 3 weeks now.

oh about 29-30mpg on the highway. around 25ish in town.

88 sammy. 81ci carbed, 5spd, 4wd, 26" tires with 3.73's. LOL! gutless as hell but still fun to drive.

hopefully getting a chev diesel pickup this summer.

I was getting about 11 but I was adjusting my Edelbrock last week and found out the Prior Owner had the screws turned out 4-1/2 turns. So I leaned it out and now I get about 13 with combo city/hwy. '86 burb/350/700R4/4.10's/31's
