Well first off i have a 1977 blazer with a new 350 goodwrench motor about 1200 miles on it,Now its been about 3 years since its been on the road im restoring it.I changed the oil and it came out like water it was black and it had a strong gas smell to it.What would cause this smell and it to run out like that ,is it because it has set so long. Can anyone help with this problem.
Thanks guys i appreciate it

The fuel pumps can leak fuel into the oil. The only thing that makes oil black is fuel dilution. You should keep your oil and filter changed every 3000 miles or whenever the oil starts to look dark or dirty. My best guess though is a bad fuel pump. I was only stating the other for your future reference.
