Anyone have a dual tank set-up like my 01' 2500 burb?

I took this picture of an access hole I cut to the 'leak'. Turned out the leak was between the blue piece and the tank. The shoty engineering on GM's part leaves me with an unrepairable tank I believe. Anyone with any ideas on a good fix/seal between the two surfaces?

Dual tanks on an 01 burb? And you cut a hole in the floor of an 01?

For some reason, that doesn't look like a tank to me. Where is the return line, and pump wiring? In tank pump on those years.

This is the main tank but not the fuel pump. Its the port in which fuel is transfered between the tanks. The aux tank is located above the spare tire. The seal between the inlet port and the tank is leaking.

Got it. Not as familiar with the 3/4 ton's after 99/00.

Good luck.

Is there a chance the fitting is leaking, and not the tank to blue thing?

Have you cleaned it off, and tried to see if you can see exactly where?

What a pain in the a**!!!! They do not design the lines to be taken off easily. I ended up taking the pump out just to have enough room to insert the line tool.

I tried this stuff and it seems to be holding.

And to insure I don't need to drop the tank again

Looks like ya goter fixed! :waytogo:

I like to stick with the older 80's just because of it being easier to work on stuff.
