I thought there was a write up, but now that I need it I cant seem to find it.
What are the different colors on the back of the fuel alt oil and temp gauges?
Mine are diferent colors and I'm trying to figure out what a 1989 came with and do I need to find those exact ones.

Thanks

Those are resistors, but I don’t know what means what. Somebody wrote about it. It’ll get found…

Thanks with your help I found this:

Unfortunately GM used a flat ceramic resistor on most of the gauges (I think early variants used an exposed wire wrap) and they dont adhere to the same color coordinating scheme lol. Just a single color. Yellow, blue, red, etc.
It's been many years since I dealt with electronics so I forgot how to decode them but yes the color strips are numbers and the gold and silver at the end is the tolerance.
Here's the chart.

Only problem I have no idea which ones I need and if they need to match (colors) mine is an assortment and I know there not original my speedo says chevy
