So it is about time to redo my gauges as a few of them don’t work and I would also like to add/monitor other systems. I have spent a lot of time researching this and getting ideas from other members. I have a total of 11 spaces available for gauges. 1-6 in the stock dash configuration (90 blazer) and 7-11 in a custom headliner. I plane to lay them out somewhat as seen in the corresponding picture.

Before I dive too far into this I was looking for feedback. Some Question include:

I have spaces 3 & 5 available still not sure what to do with them?

Was thinking about running a vacuum gauge, dose anyone do this? Saw a few threads that gave me the idea

Does anyone monitor oil temperature?

Any lights, indicators or things i may be missing?

Here is a link to my Gauge install in my dash. http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=279449

I also have an engine oil temp and a trans temp gauge mounted under the center of my dash and they are both mechanical gauges.

Fuel pressure would be a nice gauge to have but VERY expensive due to the fact you cannot run fuel into the cab so you need an isolator for the proper psi gauge which is what makes it so expensive. A vacuum gauge is also helpful.

I'll give you a bit of advice about LED's for the turn indicator and high beams, blue is the brightest color LED there is so you should use a resistor to lower the voltage to the LED to tame the brightness and you'll also want to do the same for the turn indicators as well. If you ever want to see in person how bright they are without a resistor just come see me one evening.

HAHA thanks Scott! I actually have your thread book marked as i have been referencing it so much! I will defiantly have to come see it sometime!

Just shoot me a PM or call me if you still have my number.

I also remember why I don't have a fuel pressure gauge, Autometer doesn't make one in their Sport Comp series in a 2 5/8" size.

Ya i know what you mean. It was frustrating trying to find gauges all in one series. That is why i decided to do Z-series up top and sports down below
