Working on putting 5.13s in my 14bff.
If the pattern in question is toward the heel, then you are suppose to move ring gear closer to pinion which in turn decreases backlash.
What do you do when you've moved the gear closer to get the desired pattern but now you're backlash is out of range or gone?
If you try to set the pinion further away(adding shims), then you get out of range for top to root.
This is what I'm dealing with right now. I know there is a solution....it's just my arms are tired from cranking that damn set up with the required load on it.
So it's breaktime

process goes: Adjust Pinion Depth > Adjust Backlash > Check Pattern > Repeat as neccessary.
