How I ever lived without one of these I will never again know!
After picking up my 383 from a friend's shop last week, I dropped it off the engine stand a few days later
. Damn thing was so old and worn out that when you turned or pushed on the engine at all, it would slide out of the neck a good 1/2" at a time. So finally I failed to notice, and crash. So I flipped and hit my computer to order one of these bad boys. Put it together and threw my engine on it tonight. Must have spun the engine over 10 times just for the hell of it. Even with a 68:1 ratio, it still went quicker than monkeying around with my old stand did.

For a quality engine stand with a warranty that alone isn't bad in my mind. We have a drain pan that sits right on the legs of it too and holds up to 10 qts. Need to get myself that for tear down work.
