I know the subject has been discussed countlessl times, so please forgive me for the repeat question. I'll try to be specific.
Who out there runs a 700r4 with 4.10 gears and 38" tires. I'm trying to decide wether to run the truck as is, or to wait untill I can afford to go to 5.13 or 5.38's.
I have a BTO stage 3 without the manual valve body. Dana 60 and 14ff. Both axles are locked with Lock-Rites.
I would like to drive the truck sooner than later, and I won't have the money for gears till at least next year.
I do have a manual lockup wired for the tranny, though it should lock up the TC even in 2nd and 3rd.
So, my question for those out there running a similar set up, Do you see any reason I may hurt my tranny just driving in 3rd instead of overdrive untill I can afford to gear it properly.
Again, sorry for the possible repost. I appreciate all thoughts on this.
Thanks,
UDY
