Koyo is factory for years . I would run them ..
That is what I said to the guys at Ron's Machine Service when they told me they could not get the Timkens. My 14-Bolt has over 300,000 miles on the original Koyo bearings, and they still work fine. At least the Koyo bearings I got say "Made in Japan" instead of China.

Get yourself some Dana 60 setup bearings, saves a lot of work in the end.

I am going to do my 14-Bolt first because that is the easiest one to deal with the adjustable carrier pre-load, and the independant pinion bearing pre-load. Then I am going to do my Dana-60 after that. I will grind out one of the old inner bearing, and outer bearing race to use them as set-up bearings. I will probably do the 14-bolt with it bolted down to the leaf springs in my truck, but I will completly remove the front Dana-60, in order to do that gear swap.
