So what do you have to finish or do to get ready for BB.

Me
After the Lands end race this weekend.
Wash
Change tires from 37" race tires to 42" rock crawling tires
Change out every skid plate from the light weight desert skids to heavy rock crawling stuff.
Route new ARB locker air lines and finalize locker switch locations
Change oil in car and tow rig
check out trailer Don't know if anything is really wrong with it but it's been a few years since it's last good inspection
Change out body panels to some used ones that can get trashed
Install rear tire carrier
Change tool storage setup to hopefully allow for my CO2 tank to be installed
Change front u joints out from stock spicer stuff to the CTMs for rock crawling.
Car has about 450 racing miles since the last time the front end was gone through. Might have to do that as well. I am sure that the king pin bushings are shot by now.
New turbo on tow rig
Pack, tools, spares camping gear etc.

Thats just the small stuff.

For work I have to excavate, find and tap a 10" water main underneath one of the local city's streets and have it tied into the water service for the project that was supposed to be done by Sept. 1st. The problem is the City won't let us dig up the street until after labor day. Just a slight conflict there:doah:. I can't leave until the water line is hooked up. We should have the hook up made by Thursday afternoon the 9th and leave for Moab.

So what do you have to get done?

Hope that two new tires are going to be at 4WP in Mesa on 09/04, 0900hrs, as promised...
Grease gun/torque wrench session under the truck. Oil change.
Bleed brakes - this might turn out to be a task of particular fun since all 4 bleeders are way too tight, and have a good chance of breaking...
Check front wheel bearings.
Reorganize/pack boonie box.
Optional:
New/different shocks would be nice, particularly in the front.
Change out seat base on passenger front to allow laptop base to be installed...

Fix a bunch of Leaks including but not limited to a possible Rear main
Find a Spare Tire and Wheel
Testing Rearranging Cutting
Ck n make sure everything is Tight from recent upgrades and GO man GO

Hold on. Methinks you forgot about Oat's truck...

Not too bad I hope for me. No working on the truck next week as it's our 30th aniversary and the wifes flying out to CO.
Maybe hit the tub in Glenwood and opps! :wink1: stop by ORD to pick up some new front spring bushings.
I'll check them 1st.
New meats ordered, need to mount on beadlocks & find someone that can balance them if possible.
Poss. do some cutting to fit them :hack:
Standard maintenace stuff, change a header with a hole in it.
Maybe find someone to straighten my back bumper some.
Change Trans fluid & filter on my one ton van I overheated on Vail pass coming back from Moab & oil on both.
Get yet another trailer tire replaced by Discount tire :surepal:.
Pick up my buddy at the airport before the Bash.
and I'm sure I'll find more to do, (Like finish all my jobs).
Brandon still wins for sure :doah:

Dave youd better Pic up like 2 , 3 , or 4 tires Maybe buy stock in them LOL:haha:

I'm not doing a damn thing to the General this year. :haha: I have enough to do for the event anyway. Need to get to making some stickers and such.

Ummm I don't know I will look at the truck on Wednesday before the bash.

J/K. Vacation starts tomorrow so strip everything out of the inside.

Replace a snap on the safari top
install and tune CB if bracket arrives
put padding on the cage
oil change
plugs
plug wires
wire looms
change diff fluid
rotate tires
check brakes
grease gun fest like JMS
maybe put in a tranny cooler I have had laying around for a few years
and so on and so forth.

Finish the cage. Fix the leak that is coming from the transmission. That might involve pulling the trans.

I have procured another tow rig so I don't have to worry about that anymore. So thats about it.

Oh yeah and regear and install a couple axles (rear 60 and front d44) in a buddys jeep so he can come too.

Repacking wheelbearings now. Tires are grooved. Check fluids. Maybe fix ram and tre being as the black hills, sd bent and scratched everything lower than the dome light.

I suppose I should address this:

Make new top and bottom mounts and Install new(used) 14" Bilstein 5150's on rear, Blew a 12" at the family reunion. Change out both rear leaf packs, cause they look like this. Put new gasket kit into york compressor and reinstall. repack front hubs. change out one 14 bolt rear axle seal. And just the usual fluid checking. I think that should do it.
