is there any differance between dana 60 front or rear locker? i'm looking to buy a detroit or arb. my local 4-wheel shop said there a price differance ! (he said all the ad's in mag's are for rear only) who's right the price differance is$300 i'm putting a 60 together from dually with 4.56 in it already. 35spline from factory

there are 35 spline rear diffs, but i bet that does have to do with the price difference.

When I fot my locker for my 60 they said the price and then asked if it was a 30 or 35 spline.

As another option, I have heard a lot of people say that the Lock-Rite locker has worked well in their 60's in the front

Lock-rites are ok for mild wheeling... but, nothing beats a full true locker.
Plain and simple, for $300 difference you need to shop somewhere else.
