is there any differance between dana 60 front or rear locker? i'm looking to buy a detroit or arb. my local 4-wheel shop said there a price differance ! (he said all the ad's in mag's are for rear only) who's right the price differance is$300 i'm putting a 60 together from dually with 4.56 in it already. 35spline from factory

according to the prices listed at 4 wheel parts, they are all the same, whether it be a 16, 30, or 35 spline D60. $574.99 for either carrier.

dat is what I paid for my front d60 detroit....

When I fot my locker for my 60 they said the price and then asked if it was a 30 or 35 spline.

Not sure where you guys are buying your D60 detroits but i bought mine from Randy's Ring & Pinion and paid $489.00, that was about 1 1/2 years ago though.

As another option, I have heard a lot of people say that the Lock-Rite locker has worked well in their 60's in the front :dunno: Something to consider

I just googled it because prices for different spline counts sounded fishy to me. 4WP was the first big name that popped up.

Plain and simple, for $300 difference you need to shop somewhere else. :deal:
