Getting Truck Into Garage

How about swapping to an all air-bag suspension with controls in the cab. Pull up the driveway, drop the suspension 10" and roll in.

Blue85, I like the way you are thinking, however $. I just bought this thing half-built (because of a previous build I did, tried to buy something that was rough but still had all the expensive parts like one tons, etc), and I am trying to get it in decent running shape before I start adding luxury items.

this thread reminds me of my VW dune buggy. I made plywood wheels for the front because the tires are too wide to clear the inside kitchen area of my toyhauler. I'm not sure I would do that to a chevy though. the front of my vw is light enough that my brother can pick it up with wheels, tires, and disc brakes, with just his hands.

If you find something that gets you close, adding some more clearance to the garage door opening might make up the rest. I reworked the header a bit, put a 2x2 spacer on the top of the door and attached the top door seal to that spacer (instead of the header). This gives me an extra 2.5" inches of clearance, which is enough for me to drive right in. It depends on how your garage is built, of course, but moving that seal from the wall to the door nets an inch by itself.
