GM 14 bolt swap into 91 Burban.

A 14SF ought to serve well for the intended use.

Will 15x8 wheels with a 4" backspacing work? on a 8 lug 14 bolt SF with drums?

I suspect I will have to grind if I get a matching 10 bolt 8 lug front end.

A 15" wheel will fit on a 14 bolt full floater or semi floater.

For your use the semi floater should be good.

I didn't see it mentioned before but the e-brake set up will be the same on you rig and the axle's from a '90.

Good luck :thumb:

What years are direct bolt up on the spring perches and shock mounts? I know you have to do something with the back plate and brake cable going from 10bolt to 14 bolt

and are they all the same width?

For perches and shock mounts, see post #6 http://coloradok5.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3163124&postcount=6 Year-wise, anything from 1973-87 pickups and 1973-91 Blazers/Suburbans will be the same mounting, within the constraints of 3/4-vs-1ton and 2-vs-4WD.

For parking brake, your best bet will be a closer year, i.e. mid-80's up to 87 or 91. The early parking brake was different and changed in, I donno, the early 80's?
