Gm factory hitch good or bad? Dmax 2500>>

I was reading some issues with GM factory hitches cracking and failing in tow. Have any of you with Dmax 2500 had any issues? Is this 'issue' just an isolated insadent for a few of the hitches out of the thousands made?
Did any of you swap out for an aftermarket one?

First I have ever heard of failing. No prob on my HD 1500. I tow a 9500K toy hauler to the beach several times a year.

That was the early design hitches on LD 2500's and 2500 Suburbans. I've thought of upgrading mine, but never have, and dont worry about it.

I do regularly check for stress cracks and anything out of the ordinary just in case. Never seen anything.

I was hopeing some one would say it was on earlier designs of the hitch

I'm not too worried about it with my 05, but I will be checking for cracks down the road when I start towing my K5
