I just ordered a set of 2" tuff country ez ride springs to replace my saggy stock ones after seeing they are considered the lowest spring rate on this sites table.

It just got me wondering what the stock springs are rated at for a 1/2 ton K10. i know solid axles are known for being rough but should i expect swapping in these springs to make my ride smoother or non noticeable

Cheers

that Eaton site was perfect it showed multiple listings for possible spring rates as anywhere from 350s to 700s....definitely interesting.

thank you

Leaf spring rates don't have a convention and I wouldn't trust anything advertised, especially off of the tech section on this site.

Leaf springs have a progressive spring rate by nature. Is the rate measured at the first inch of compression? One inch from ride height? Is it calculated or measured? Lots of variables.

It's just like a dyno, you can talk all you want about numbers but to compare them you need to have both measured/calulated the same way right next to each other. If you can measure leaf thickness, there are many calculators online that can better tell you spring rates.
