I have had both the 2 leaf and 3 leaf front springs in a few 4x4's,the stock ones look "sagged" due to a negative arch, which is how they were designed..the 3 leaf versions handle a plow better,or weight from a heavy winch or bumper, and dont seem to degrade the ride quality all that much...I'd say go with the 3 leaf ones.......................................................but my '82 K2500 diesel has only 2 leaf front springs and it handles the plow OK,and rides pretty nice for a 3/4 ton pickup.............it only has 4 or 5 leafs in the rear too,so it doesn't ride like a dump truck...................................................................................................I had some 4 leaf rear springs in a '75 K5 I had ,that were practically new ,someone was going to toss them after installing a lift kit...the truck originally had some 8 leaf rear springs, but one snapped at the main leaf, and I needed springs "now",so I grabbed the freebies up and put them in--I was concerned they would be too soft or saggy compared to the 8 leaf ones, but they had a lot more arch than the 8 leaf ones, and it actually sat higher up and rode much better with the 4 leaf ones...and I didn't notice it sag much the few times I did load it up with firewood.....
