Ok first is first.. I did search and came up with to go with a York compressor from a volvo. The compressor will be a square one that can be had from around a 1981 volvo (160, 260, ?? dunno that part)

anyhow.. once I obtain this ac compressor.. what is next on my shopping list???

custom brackets
belt to motor
air tank
air hose to go from compressor to tank

what else?????

I do not have ac in my truck so I am assuming (yes ass-uming) that I can get the balancer pulley from a chevy 350 with ac as it should have an extra spot for the ac belt?

I am almost finished with my rear disc conversion (wife wants the e-brake to work so ordered a caliper from autozone - already had a bad one from them so not happy)
Next is the 140 amp alt upgrade - have alt
zero rates gonna get ordered and take big shackles off
gonna get a receiver hitch - $25 from junkyard - already found it
then the York compressor upgrade.....

so all in all I am getting off to a good start in 2005 :cool1:

If you want to have a nice automatic setup, I would get a pop-off valve, pressure switch, check valve, pressure guage, wire/switch, and a myriad of fittings. There's really no telling what you'll need in that area till you start to put it together. I think I made about 5 trips to the hardware store before it was "complete".
