I only have an hour before they close

Wish me luck :D

I got 2 in 3 hours, so should be possible. Using only hand tools, nothing power but my arms!! Paid for it later on too....

He probably hid in the cab while they were locking up so he could work through the night :)
We'll hear from him tomorrow morning, haha.

They closed at 4:30 so I didn't even get started

I'll be there right when they open in the morning though, I borrowed a cordless impact so it goes a bit faster

It is a diesel 3500 with a manual tranny and a hydraulic clutch, a well company owned it

What gears would it have?

I may get the front and rear axles

Chevy or dodge? Probably 4.10's since it's a 1 ton... is it a dually? If so the front D60 will be wider than a SRW truck...

Chevy SRW

Too bad you cant buy trucks from the junk yard

I have a non-millitary k3500. It has 4.56s stock and a limited slip in the rear (non dually). So you might get lucky.

do junkyards know the demand for a d60 or do they just charge you like 100? when i go to the junkyards i look for them for the heck of it but never see any

I think it depends on the area/junk yard... around here in Cali people are catching on fast as to what's worth some extra coin...

im trying to gather money right now to make a trip up north and pick up about 10 to 15 dana 60 right now...hopefully next month

There are some yards that know what they are. Can think of 2 yards that charge a flat rate for axles, one place is like $65-ish and another was $114, that's complete, charged for friggin rotors and calipers...I always play dumb, maybe if they don't know it's a 60, maybe get it cheaper....

and your gonna let me know about theese and slide you some money on a finders fee right :)

I'll take yah right to them!! Trying to scope out some new places, but havne't had much luck yet....

It was actually 270 bucks :angry1:

They nickle and dimed me

But I got it home

It has 3.73 gears

I'm currently on 3.07's with the 40's and it has plenty of pep,I was surprised when I found I had 3.07's,I even counted the teeth myself

I'm gonna build the burban up with a big block and then steal the tires of the howdiymobile
