Good deal on seats

it shows they make a "wide" version for a more relaxed (fatter) person. did you get the standard version or the wide version? i'm 6'0 pushin 3 bills and i'm wondering if it would be worth it to spring for the extra butt room or if the standard size will be accomadating enough. either way good find on some good looking cheaper seats.

A couple of years ago I bought an FJ-40 that had Beard racing seats. You very definitely sat "in" them as opposed to "on" them.

Quite comfortable as long as you didn't want to move much. The high side bolsters made climbing in and out a PITA.

For reference I'm 6'3" and 190 lbs.

I have 2 wides with the head rest and four regular low backs that should be coming in this week. I'll post some pics of the two for comparison.

Did you also get a mounting kit? I'm looking for the low back with headrest for the kids in the back, and wondered how you were gonna mount them?

I am going to squeeze them all into my blazer (I have been red necking in two rear facing car seats with ratchet straps for the last year). I'm planning on fabing my own brackets so I won't be able to give any feedback on those. I'm thinking about trying to find some power 6-way bases for the front. I'm one kid away from forcing myself into a Burb.

On my PRP's I got the wide version. Don't remember if that was 22" or 24" but I fit well. Anything smaller tan what I have would be too tight. I'm about 6'1" 270 lbs.

if it helps in the pirate thread I noticed you can buy one of each seat, so one wide for the driver and reg for passenger if that makes it cheaper for ya. Also I found sliders here cheap http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Universal-Seat-Sliders,7103.html I havent ordered any but these are the same as all the others. as far as mounting in the rear you would tie into cage or build a frame to use existing holes is what I would think.

Hey I resemble that remark and hey a new ratcheting tie-down is better than the 37 year old seat belts any day.:haha: But yes the kids are getting to big for car seats and I think I'll try to keep them around a little longer. They kinda grow on ya - like fungus.

I'm going to get two tan headrest seats and change my interior color to tan

Hey Yobtaf, thanks for posting up.

I'm the guy selling these seats cheap. I'll be lurking here and am happy to answer questions.

I'm not familiar with non-sponsor rules here, so to be safe I won't be "selling" here. I figure I should be able to answer questions though.

Brett,

I think it's safe to say there are several of us who wish you had either the high back seats in black or the low back seats (with headrests) in black. Is there ANY chance you will get those again at these prices (or close).

Speaking only for myself, gray or tan won't cut it.

Ordered - thanks for the heads-up. (and gray is the right color for a topless truck :)

My seats just came in. I ordered them on Monday and they were here today. The seats seem well put together and the seat firmness feels right. If you have any doubt go with the wides. I'm 6'6" 250lb and my but doesn't fit in the normal width seat.

Wide low back and regular low back:

Wide base:

They seem like a real winner for the price.

Good God! If you fit then 99.9% of the rest should. That's a great point about these seat if you can fit comfortably.:D

I'm tall but not too wide. If you have any width at all you better get the wide.

how the hell did you get the black ones? Aren't they sold out?
