well from what i remember it doesn't have drive flanges. think it's a fulltime front end. Dodge has those right??figure i could just convert it to lockouts. i never looked but called the guy later and asked if it had lockouts and he said no

Drive flanges and fulltime are one in the same and yes they are very common on Dodges.

The lockout selection for external Dodge hubs is not very good, IIRC. I would probably stick with flanges.

well that kinda sucks that they're more expensive though. wonder if maybe i could sell the Dodge version and add a few bucks then find a chevy 60 for it. probably make for a better front end right?

hell i'm talkin like i already got the thing and i don't haha

I have had them all three ways.Flanges, fulltime slugs and lockout's.It is has internal fulltime slugs all you will have to do is buy a set of lockout's.

What is the difference between flanges and fulltime hubs to you?

There are VERY few dodge 60's that have internal hubs.

Here is what a set of external lockout's look like on the dodge axles.

Flanges are bolt on like I pictured earlier.Fulltime slugs are internal and look just like the one's they used in 1/2 ton 44's and 10 bolts. To me anyway.I have had 5-6 of the 60's from the Cummins trucks and all but two had int lockout's.I agree that most of the early one's had ext lockout's or flanges.

those are the same brand lockouts i have on my stepside. are they good or did you just find the pic?

it's been mentioned twice but would only the cummins trucks have 60's or would the one with the 400 (like i can get) have 60's too? actually not sure what size motor it has but he said 400. i know nothing of Dodges so i took his word for it. thought there was only 400 sb Chevy and 400 BB Ford. am i wrong??

Yeah, I've never heard of a 400 Dodge motor.

From Billavista's article on Pirate, kingpin Dodge 60's can be found under:

1975-89 D-600
1992-93 D-600
1981-89 D-700
1992-93 D-700

All these Dodge versions were passenger side differential, regular rotation (low pinion) gears, disc brakes, 35 spline inners, 30 spline outers, and kingpin knuckles. 1979-89 versions had external style hubs, with the earlier versions with full-time NP203 Transfer cases having external drive flanges, and later models having external lockout hubs. The external lockout hub bolt pattern is 8 x 3.960". The 90-93 versions had internal style hubs just like the Chevy and lockout hubs. One caution with dodge applications, is you have to be careful to avoid the Dana 61 front axle. 1987-88 and 1991-93.5 Dodge D600 and D700 also came with Dana 61. More info on the Dana 61 later in the article.

Dodge has used balljoint 60's under its 3500 (and some 2500) trucks since '94.
