that wont work on a rear 10b. the Axles are kinda what holds the wheel on... if it was a FF rear then it would

crap i missed the part where it said rear axle, i was thinking the front oops

Go to a wrecking yard pull some spider gears out of an axle and swap them in your axle. Changing the spider gears is a pretty damn easy job. I would not weld it if you intend to drive it on the street.

I know it's easy to swap the spider gears, been working on cars for a long time. Problem is I'm in Rustachussetts. The pull your own parts yards around here barely have anything older than 10 years on the lot. Especially since scrap metal prices went up, alot of yards got rid of their old inventory. And when they take in stuff older than 10 years, straight to the crusher. Running down to the local junkyards is an option I don't usually have.
