I was looking on my local craigslist when I came across a 88 Chevy Blazer Rusty but has a 350 and everything runs/works well. Emailed the guy and its a TBI 350 and got some pics its rusty but what I was thinking was pull the driveline and use on a possible project and part out the rest:thinking:. Is 400 a good deal.

Also has anyone had good luck with GovLiquidation.com or buy anything from there this was one of the possible projects. Any information would be much appreciated.

I've seen stock TBI motors alone go for $200-350 with the whole FI setup. Check the classified section here.

gov liq i heard it takes a lot of patience, time, money, and those army guys don't **** around and don't care if your house blows up, they want you on time..no beer or anything they thoroughly search your car.

i asked the same ? on another site and that is the answer i was given.

So thats a good price???

Also, when should you fill out the End Use Form and submit it?? What did you spend on your Cucv?? Do prices normally go through the roof I heard its alot like Ebay last minute bidding.

I too would like the know how govliquidation works. Thanks. IT seems like a crapshoot and theres not many cucvs around ny, and are they worth it?

Govliquidation is a lot like ebay, bidding wise. The military guys seem to be pretty helpful and will get a truck running for you if it has a dead battery. The CUCVs tend to sit around awhile before they go up on the auction block. I personally like the ones that are in running condition at the time of sale. Expect to have some parts that are missing or swapped like doors, seats, wipers, etc. I believe the reason for this is that they no longer have a budget to maintain these trucks and are creatively "robbing peter to pay paul." I would do it again. Good luck.

yeah im in nj and want to find a cucv to strip for some rears and ****..i guess i'll keep looking and let you know if i buy from them
