Can this method be used?
Ok unbolt d-shaft, slide it all the way into the tcase, pull it out about an inch, then measure the distance from the pinion where the ujoint rests to the end caps of the ujoint on the driveshaft.
That should work correct? and when i install i should have enuff room to slide it in an inch to bolt up driveshaft to pinion?
Is an inch exposed not enough or should i have about inch and quarter left exposed?
I dont want it too far in the tcase to where it will bottom out against tcase under extreme cases.
Anything else i shoudl look out for would be helpful
