Are you talking about used tires? H1s are about $110/tire shipped. I never saw any other 37s for less than $250 each

There is a company called Treadwright that retreads tires. Before everyone goes nuts, I have not tried them but I did search some forums and people have been having good luck with them.
They make one tire called the Guard Dog, and it is the old Goodyear MT/R tread design, and they make it in 37X12.15/16.5.

Check out the waiting list though. A lot of their sizes are unavailable until they get enough good tire casings to start retreading and filling orders.
I looked into them (they used to be High Tec Retreading) earlier this year when I was looking for my 305/70R16's. Granted that's a more common size than 37's but I could get a local place to sell me some NEW offbrand tires with a warranty for about $100 more than a set of TW tires would have cost just to have them shipped to me. Add in mounting costs and balancing and suddenly they're not that great of a price.
Also, as discussed earlier, those are just recap'd HMMWV Goodyear MT's. At most they're a touch taller than the original tires were so 35" or so tall?

I've bought tires from them before, (35-12.50-16.5) nice people to deal with BUT I had problems with all the tires I bought from them, they warrantied them but it was a major hassle waiting for them to send another tire and then having to have them mounted and balanced........and they took LOTS of weight to balance after my 6th tread failure I got another tire from them and put them on my ranch truck that never left the property and bought a new set of BFG's for the DD
I have ran Treadwrights, and had zero problems, as have many other people I know. In fact you are the first person I have heard of having troubles with them.

How long ago was that yellow? I bought a set of muds from them in 2005 and had several issues and horrible customer service. I later learned they went through some trouble around then and that led to them sorta closing or whatever they did, reorganizing, and now being TreadWright. I've heard enough recent positive reviews that I'd consider them again but the price point for me was just never good enough to make them a contender.
They list them as 36.7". I ran high-tec 35's for a while and they were about 34.5" - about an inch taller than name brands. Their tires are as good as the casings - get old ones and you'll end up with broken belts or dry rot. Get fresh ones and in some ways they are the best tires available - nothing compares to the Kedge Grip because you can run Muds on icy roads. I'm excited to see these because they dropped the 37's and then the 35's and even 33's were going away. It may be because of all the MTs getting dumped to the public so cheap now.
If you run H1 wheels you can do the mounting yourself. You can balance them yourself for $20 by throwing airsofts in.

And I had no problems related to the casing I was losing entire thread blocks and one tire flung the entire cap and took out the fender on my Superduty
Mine did that in a more minor way. At about 400 miles one threw a chunk of tread. Got a replacement tire after some customer service BS and a few months later I noticed several tires were again delaminating. They pretty much told me to GTFO it because the tire size was discontinued or something. Wasn't impressed with the quality or the service.
However again I've heard they're far better now. Even a fan of them on Facebook.

Just throwing this out there, on the subject of actual size vs what it says on the side of the tire... My 35" Maxxis Bighorns are supposedly 34.7"
The height of a tire will vary with the width of the rim in it mounted on.

Had a tape measure in my hand and found myself standing next to three HMMWV's with the various military tires. Shortest to tallest and all but the new ones are older and worn but still serviceable. All are on 8, 12, or 24 bolt HMMWV rims.
-36x12.5-16.5 Bias ply Wrangler RT/II's are about 34.25" tall.
-37x12.5R16.5 Wrangler MT/R's are about 34.5" tall. These are new with maybe a couple hundred miles on them.

Top to bottom with the weight of the vehicle. I always figure that's the most realistic height on vehicle.
If you've seen how thick the tread caps are you might believe it there thick and heavy
I'm still undecided. I may end up getting a set trying them out then selling if the won't work well enough for me for now. I priced some intercos and not liking the 1600 price tag, I can get maxxis big horns for around 980, but still the goodyear mt are still 500 cheaper all said and done.
