These are going on the tow rig so the on road behavior is what I am most interested in. jms is running the size that I'm going to run, so it's nice to get that perspective.

Was hoping to hear that they were getting a few more miles than what's been posted, but I think they'll do fine for the amount of driving they will see. [crossing fingers].

Where is the cheapest place to buy them? I need 6 so I'd like to find a good deal

Not to be a buzzkill to the internet buyers. But Id check Graham in spencer Brett. When I got the Workhorses on my K10 I got em at graham in storm lake(same owner). I caught a sale and go 44 bucks knocked off a peice and free road hazard/rotation and balance. I havnt used the road hazard yet but I get em rotated and balances for free. Its kinda nice.

They also said somethin to me if I pick up nails they repair em for free too. Course that might just be storm lake I know the one guy down there pretty good. Anyway just somethin to think of.

Discount tire matches prices so search around and get the best price you can and take it there and they will match it. They offer there warranty which can be a lifesaver if/when you mess up a tire. I buy all my tires from Discount with there warranties. They rock.

I have the 37" on my stepper and I love them a bit louder than BFG-A/T's but quiter and better handling than the BFG-M/T's they replaced I'd definetly get another set . oh and they seem to be wearing well

Im running 37" MT/R's on my truck and I love them! Great tires! I daily drove the truck for 2 years with them and put about 25,000 miles on them, and they still have about 30% tread. That is also with a tire-eating rear detroit. They also balanced well, and are pretty darn quiet on the street. They do wear faster than a bfg on the street because they are made of a softer rubber compound. But this also makes them stick to rocks a lot better. They are also as tough as nails. I say get the MT/R's and youll be very happy.

come to think of it, my buddy is running 33's on his 84 k5, and as we roll down the road on the freeway you can't even notice the tire noise. with the windows open, the wind is too loud to hear it. i'd tell you about how i can't hear my 35" mt/r's too, but then i run a 6.2 diesel and almost no insulation at the firewall and don't have carpet or anything yet - on top of that, my heater is always on, so i have to run with my windows down all the time.

I got mine from Wal Mart. The 35's were $178 per, plus I didn't pay for shipping.

I have had MT/R's for a while now and they work great. They seem to wear pretty good considering I have not rotated them in almost 3 years. They have around 15 to 18k on them and are still well over half tread.

Looks like they should work out pretty well. I guess with the Cummins, tire noise shouldn't be a problem. I really hate Walmart, but that might be my best bet, with running all over the country, (road/ hazard)

I think they suck on road but thats just me. They are loud and I dont think they wear very well. Id take BFG's anyday over an MTR for road use. They look cool though

I had the opposite experience. I ran BFG M/T's for years on my Bronco and thought they were pretty good. Got MTR's later (35's) and found they performed far better than my BFG's did in the dirt, mud, and on the highway. Noise was about the same. I did find the sidewalls seemed to hold up better on the MTR's and when I talked to a guy very knowledgable about tires later, he said BFG quality has tanked in recent years so I wasn't surprised. I also found that the MTR's lasted much longer than the BFG's. I just bought a new set for the Blazer.
